09.12.2022 The German Sustainable Building Council has fundamentally revised its certification system for new buildings. In addition to new minimum requirements, the focus is on climate protection, circularity and investment security.
The new system version is a further development of the DGNB Building New Construction System Version 2018. By combining previously separate topics and eliminating indicators that are no longer required, only 29 criteria are now considered instead of 37. In addition, a number of new minimum requirements have been introduced that are mandatory for certification. There are also new minimum requirements for the DGNB Platinum certificate.
In all adjustments, care was taken to ensure that the requirements of the EU taxonomythe EU reporting framework level(s) and the QNG seal are also mapped. In addition, the new version should enable a better link to other variants of DGNB certification.
The new system version 2023 is expected to be released in April next year.
