September 24, 2025 On Saturday, September 20, the “most modern school in the Böblingen district” was officially opened. Jessica Roth and working student Josephine Pfann were guests at the opening. HOINKA GmbH is the contact partner for sustainability certification.
The Stockbrünnele school center in Böblingen is setting new standards with its innovative concept and sustainable vision. The project is characterized by its high standards of energy efficiency and sustainability: The school building is connected to the Böblingen district heating network. Photovoltaics on the roof, an efficient ventilation system with heat recovery, the use of rainwater and the greening of the roof and façade also contribute to the ecological implementation of the project. Another special feature of this project is the hybrid construction method: The base and staircase cores are made of reinforced concrete, while the upper floors were built using prefabricated timber construction elements, which significantly reduced the construction time.
The new school center will unite the Friedrich-Schiller-Realschule and the Theodor-Heuss-Werkrealschule. In addition to the sustainable buildings, the pupils can expect ultra-modern classrooms, a canteen that also serves as an event room and a school garden on the roof on the 4th floor. The “Stockbrünnele” school center shows how innovative construction methods can not only improve the environmental balance, but also create inspiring learning environments.
DGNB Gold certification is being sought for the modern new building. The certification process is supervised by our DGNB auditors Ramona Schuster and Thomas Hoinka. The product testing for the documentation of the products and materials used via our
