In this way, Knauf supports its customers in the successful certification of buildings according to LEED and DGNB. Knauf also provides certification-relevant information in a transparent form. The products fulfill the following criteria in the LEED and DGNB system:
LEED New Construction:
- The products consist of up to 60% recycled material and contribute to the achievement of LEED points under MR Credit 4 Recycled Content.
- Depending on the project location, the product fulfills the requirements for regional materials (see production locations). The product can contribute to the achievement of LEED points under MR Credit 5 Regional Materials.
DGNB new building version 2009:
- The products do not contain any substances that would lead to exclusion in DGNB Profile 6. The products therefore meet the requirements for quality levels 1 to 4 and contribute to achieving 10 (out of a maximum of 10 achievable) assessment points in Profile 06 “Risks for the local environment”.
