December 04, 2024 With the OFFICEHOME Zinc, another PANDION project was completed, in which HOINKA GmbH was able to accompany the certification according to DGNB Gold Standard.
OFFICEHOME Zinc is one of three buildings that together form the new Ostkreuzcampus in Berlin Friedrichshain. A total of around 50,000 m2 of office space with individual workstations, conference and event rooms, a food court and various cafés are being created here.
The new office building is characterized by an impressive building depth of 23 meters and flexible floor plans that open up a wide range of possible uses. Thanks to the wide-span supporting structures and optimal use of daylight, the building creates ideal conditions for a contemporary working environment.
Particular emphasis was placed on innovative water and greening concepts: The unsealing of former industrial areas and extensive greenery in the inner courtyard and on the roof terraces noticeably improve the microclimate. An advanced water management system ensures that rainwater is stored and reused for irrigation. The inner courtyard, planted with native plants, supplemented by retention areas and planted swales, also contributes to cooling. These measures not only support the sustainable use of the building, but also help to reduce the heat load in urban areas.
OFFICEHOME Zinc was completed in 2024 and handed over to the tenant Enpal in November.
With all OFFICEHOME projects, PANDION pursues EU taxonomy-compliant construction and fulfillment of the Efficiency Building 55 standard. In addition, the buildings are planned and constructed in accordance with DGNB Gold and WiredScore Platinum requirements.
The DGNB certification was accompanied by HOINKA GmbH, and our BMS-project tool was used.
