19.09.2023 The MSD Germany headquarters in the Macherei Munich has received WELL Gold certification. This makes MSD Germany one of the first companies in Germany and the first in Bavaria to be awarded this certificate. Nowadays, people spend more than 90% of their lives indoors, so it is important that these spaces are designed in such a way that they do not have a negative impact on health and well-being. MSD Germany’s headquarters in the Macherei in Munich not only achieves this – the design of the rooms even helps to promote comfort, productivity and a healthy working environment. In June, the MSD Germany headquarters was awarded WELL Gold for this. With this award, the International WELL Building Institute honors the targeted commitment to improving the well-being and health of users in the building. Ten areas are considered for WELL certification:

- Concept 2: Water
- Concept 3: Nourishment (food/nutrition)
- Concept 4: Light
- Concept 5: Movement (movement/fitness)
- Concept 6: Thermal Comfort
- Concept 7: Sound (sound insulation, acoustic comfort)
- Concept 8: Materials
- Concept 9: Mind (mental health)
- Concept 10: Community
As WELL AP, Ramona Schuster from Hoinka accompanied the WELL certification for MSD Germany. WELL certification is an internationally recognized certification system that aims to promote health and well-being in buildings. This system was developed by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) and launched in 2014.
