A primary energy shortfall of 45% must now be demonstrated for new construction projects.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since November 01, 2020, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hoinka.com\/gebaeudeenergiegesetz-geg-2020-ersetzt-enev-eneg-und-eewaermeg\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Building Energy Act<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It contains requirements for the energy quality of buildings, the creation and use of energy performance certificates and the use of renewable energies in buildings. With the amendment from January 1 of this year, the permissible annual primary energy requirement for new residential and non-residential buildings was reduced from 75% to 55%. This corresponds to the KfW&#8217;s EH55 standard and is valid from the beginning of the year for all building applications, applications for approval or building notifications.
