The DGNB certification<\/h2>\n

Since 2009, the German Sustainable Building Council – DGNB e.V.<\/a> – has used the certificate of<\/a> the same name to certify that sustainability criteria<\/a> have been taken into account in buildings for a wide variety of uses – such as newly built commercial and industrial buildings, apartments, hotels, office complexes and educational facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is also an option for existing buildings to obtain certification.<\/span><\/p>\n

But why certify at all?<\/h2>\n

The motivations of building owners to opt for certification in accordance with DGNB regulations are as varied as the added value they achieve. After all, certification of the sustainability of a construction project is not just a marketing or image advantage: <\/span><\/p>\n
