Building owners and renovators benefit from better funding conditions if they meet the higher requirements. <\/p>\n The sustainability class (NH class for short) is a recognized sustainability standard that is used in the federal funding programs for efficient buildings<\/a> “Residential Buildings” (BEG WG) and“Climate-friendly New Buildings<\/a>” (BEG Neubau).<\/p>\n Achieving the NH class in the refurbishment process or obtaining the Sustainable Building quality seal<\/a> for a new building results in advantageous funding conditions.<\/p>\n Sustainable buildings rely on environmentally friendly materials and a healthy living environment. If builders or renovators meet the requirements of the sustainability class, these buildings fall under the NH class and a loan of up to 150,000 euros per residential unit as well as higher repayment subsidies are possible – five percent for renovations, 2.5 percent for new builds.
