QNG – Quality seal for sustainable buildings<\/h2>\n
The Sustainable Building Quality Seal<\/a> was developed by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building(BMWSB<\/abbr>) to promote a uniform understanding of sustainability and at the same time to create a legally secure basis for the allocation of subsidies.<\/p>\n Until recently, the federal subsidy for efficient buildings (BEG) required the building to be certified as an efficiency house with a sustainability class (NH class). This meant that the state quality seal for sustainable buildings<\/strong> was also mandatory, as this provided the necessary proof for the subsidy. In March 2023, the NH class subsidy for new builds was replaced by the BEG subsidy for climate-friendly new builds<\/a>, which looks at sustainability performance throughout the entire life cycle. The requirements of the quality seal must also be met for this funding. However, the NH class<\/a> remains relevant for refurbishments and offers attractive funding opportunities.
